Webtoon images are actually multiple images/pages/panels sliced into section and uploaded and combined to look like 1 long page on webtoon platform website.
LINE Webtoon format size is specifically designed to have your webtoon image cut/cropped into pieces.
Webtoon format size is 800 pixels wide and 1280 pixels long and they have this located at the bottom of the upload section.
So as long as your files are either exact or less than that size you should be good to go but I wrote a blog post that shares more information on this if you are still having troubles~
My Webtoon Format Process
Now how I format my webtoon comic to begin the drawing process is I like to triple the webtoon upload size so instead of 800 pixels wide I have mine 1600 pixels wide and 4800 pixels tall.
I like working in a larger canva size and have about 1-2 panels per webtoon page so that the pacing feels nice and steady and not rushed or squished.
When I’m done drawing my webtoon I will then export it and I can either manually crop it in clip studio paint or whichever art app I’m using or I can use the croppy website.
With the croppy website it will resize and slice my webtoon files to fit either LINE Webtoons format or Tapas format which saves me a lot of time!
So my sliced webtoon panels will look like multiple cut up images but that’s exactly what we want because we can’t upload one long strip onto Webtoon.
When I upload them onto the webtoon platform it will then piece each sliced image file together to look like one long form webtoon~ (iz magic~)
What should you do next?
