Webtoons are digital vertical scrolling comics made up of multiple image files sized around 800px by 1280px and in inches that would be 10′ by 17′ close to the US traditional comic book format~
So the way to convert a webtoon into a physical print comic book I use a canva size of around 2480px x 1748px which is close to the size of a regular 8 by 11 sheet of paper.
After that I will have about three or four webtoon panels per one comic page. I noticed that for webtoon format styles I like having a lower number of panels per page so it doesn’t look so cramped
The program that I use to create my webtoon is Clip Studio Paint Ex on my desktop computer.
But Krita is a great free alternative with a built in image slicer for easy panel creation!
For publishing my comic book for free I actually use Amazon KDP because they don’t have any set up fees.
Print on Demand publishing companies like Amazon KDP makes it to where you don’t have to have inventory of your books.
They are printed and shipped out all with Amazon without you needing to handle any order processing and you can just focus on creating comics!.
What should you do next?
