Music is a powerful tool that can greatly enhance the reading experience of your webtoon. While platforms like WEBTOON CANVA and Tapas currently don’t offer the ability to have music added to your webtoon if you are posting on their public free publishing platform there are other social media platforms that you can use to have music playing with your webtoon.
Tiktok has a large selection of music as well as Instagram and a lot of creators have added slides of their webtoon panels into videos or image carousels and added music from within the platform.
Tiktok now has a photo carousel feature so it not only can you just upload images of your webtoon onto their platform but you can also add music to go along with it and what is nice about tiktok is that it has an audio sync which can add a nice little flair.
Now if you have your own webcomic website that you want to post your webtoon on and you are looking for music to use in your webtoon, there are a few great places to find royalty-free and licensed tracks.
One of my favorite places to find music for my webtoon is Jamendo Music. With over 600,000 free songs from independent artists all around the world, Jamendo has a wide variety of genres, instruments, and moods to choose from. They also have licensing options for businesses, art, YouTube videos, and games. Another great resource for music is SoundCloud. With a large community of artists and bands, SoundCloud has a wide range of royalty-free and licensed music, as well as sound effects and audio loops.
