The way I make webtoon is with drawing program or apps like ibispaint or Clip Studio Paint and 3D models with Clara.io or Sketchup for my background.
Now if you don’t have a laptop or a computer you can still make a webtoon all you will need is your touchscreen tablet or smartphone and a pen stylus.
You can also create a webtoon by just drawing with your finger as well as take a photo of your comic drawn on paper and use it within art app too.
A great free art app that you can use to make your webtoon with your finger or with a pen stylus on an iOS/andriod phone or mobile device is ibisPaint.
Here is a Character sheet thumbnail of a webtoon that I’m working on within ibispaint that I drew using my apple pen on my iPad.
To make a webtoon on my computer I used my cintiq display tablet from wacom but graphic tablets or standalone tablets work just as fine if not better at times!
You don’t have to worry about uploading one long strip because webtoons are actually made from multiple pages cut in half and their platform will automatically create one long strip when you upload it.
The width and height your webtoon will need to be to submit to LINE Webtoon website is 800 x 1280.
Now when you’re drawing your webtoon I recommend drawing them around double the size of webtoons upload format if you’re using Clip Studio Paint then 1600 x 4800 which will help your art not look so blurry.
