Okay so, I’ve been thinking about my past history with creating comics and I just wanted to show you guys how far I’ve come.
Before I even became a digital artist I was an all traditional artist. My mom has a canvas of a comic character painting I did back in college.
The first program that I used when I started going digital for my comics was from the how to draw manga computone books. After that I learned about Manga studio.
Granted I was still using a mouse and scanning the pages in to finish the text and tone but it was a career changing experience.
I dud have a lot of problems with Manga Studio but giving up shouldn’t be an option just because something is hard or your not getting the results you want fast enough.
I remember a girl back In the day who would say she wanted to do comics and get better at drawing, do I would give her advice and do what I could to share with her the things that helped me and encourage her but she would wouldn’t follow through and continued to stay negative and not put in the work, time or effort.
If you don’t stick with something long enough then how do you know if it truly doesn’t work? Had I thrown in the towel with Manga Studio I don’t know where I would be right now because I can’t see myself without the program.
I knew what the program was capable of and how much I could benefit from it so I didn’t give up and kept trying. I even went on to buy the newer version, at that time, and kept pressing towards my goal.
Don’t let a road block, learning curve or difficulty get in your way. If my goal, and my why matter enough to me then I’m not going to let anything get in my way of achieving my goal.
The same applies to my goal for a healthier lifestyle. If I find something that can help me reach my goal then I’m not going to throw it away just because the results didn’t happen as fast or which ever excuse I might come up with.
I didn’t want to live the rest of my life, in pain and in and out if the ER because that’s what was happening. I found something that could work and I kept at it, no matter the taste that I had to get used to with the greens because my body was so acidic but now I’m no longer sick like I used to be.
I’ve made it to a place where I thought I could never be. The doctors even told me this was something that I would just have to deal with and if I had just accepted that then I still would have been just dealing with it.
Manga studio changed my career. Don’t give up just because if difficulties. If you want something and are given the tools that can help you achieve that then work towards it and don’t give up! Stay positive, you can do it!
Here is a picture of all of the comic software that I’ve gathered through out the course of my move from traditional to digital and I’ve found something that I love and that I plan on sticking with for a very long
time!
I am very interested in the greens. Please enlighten me with these discounts and stuff so i can order some please<3
Roger-doger Lina<3 is it okay if I email you? I have some of my own personal before and afters to show you 😀
Thanks for the words of encouragement!
You’re welcome Petri!
and i meant “FEEL” anew…lol
Thanks for sharing your story. I tend let my talents go to waste and not practice what I love. Yeah life get’s in the way (and sickness) but if you want something bad enough you fight for it. Thanks again for making this old artist fell like anew!!
You’re very welcome Suzanne! We’ve got to lift each other up and encourage one another so that we can make our dreams a reality <3 I don't mind doing some cheerleading along the way because I know how much that encouragement and tiny push can help! Do you have a Deviantart account or facebook account where you post some of your work? I'd love to take a look at it and either watch or friend request you <3
