How in the world are webtoon artist able to upload such a long canvas size?
Simple, they actually cut up their webtoon into smaller cropped/sliced/cutoff images and uploaded the shortened files that way!
You might be wondering that this webtoon format size doesn’t seem long enough because when you read webtoons online it looks like one long continuous page with a height that’s much longer than 1280.
If you want to post your webtoon online but you don’t know how to stack the panels vertical don’t worry because the webtoon platforms will stack it automatically for you~
Webtoon Cropping Tool
Depending on what program you use you might be able to crop or slice your long form webtoon manually.
Of course this can take a little bit of time and effort because you will have to go through section by section like how I do with Clip Studio Paint and crop with guides or just the crop tool by itself.
A faster free option that is currently available is actually a website called Croppy!
Here you’re able to just upload your long form webtoon and it will automatically crop/slice up your image for you according to LINE or Tapa webtoon upload format!
