Vertical scrolling webtoons are created by drawing panels separately on their own file and then they’re all uploaded onto webtoons site
Wether you draw your webtoon like one vertical strip or individually in batches they will all still have to spit in half to fit the upload size.
Usually the upload size is 800 wide and 1280 wide but they can be smaller as well as the amount of panels per page or file usually ranges between 1-2 panels each.
The reason why is because webtoons upload size is a maximum of 800px by 1280px per file and a maximum of 20MB for the file sizes.
For traditional comic pages you’ll usually see 3-5 panels per page but with how I make my webtoon I usually like to stick to 1-2 so that it doesn’t feel too crowded but if that’s what you like then no worries~
There are a few ways you can split your webtoon using the crop and resize feature of Clip Studio Paint or the image slice feature of Krita.
A tip when creating a webtoon is not to draw your webtoon in the upload size 800 x 1280 because it will look super pixilated.
You can actually draw your webtoon in a canvas size triple that size so around 1600 x 2400 then resize it back down when you’re done drawing that way your images won’t look so blurry.
What should you do next?
