The quick answer to that was to use hashtags or keywords and make sure to share on social media platforms.
Also the harsh reality I learned from that is that sometimes this doesn’t always result in QUICK LARGE numbers subscribers and typically for me I gain about a 1-2 subscribers or a handful each day.
Now the thing with hashtags that I love so much and I think is so important is that I had to make sure I used ones that was relative to my audience or story genre.
I learned that I shouldn’t use a hashtag about a comic that has no horror in it but I tag it with the horror hashtag.
Doing that would cause my content not to match and the algorithm wouldn’t push my content in that hashtag because it’s seeing how people are reacting to my mismatched post and instead of liking or saving they’re leaving.
What I also learned with the algorithm of most social media platforms is that they want to get content out and more people to stop and view that content so they use hashtags to help sort out all of the content.
Now the thing with that to keep things in order and not a big traffic jam of mismatched content what they do is show people the content that you might have tagged with a certain hashtag that they typed in the search bar, but if that hashtag doesn’t match what they searched then they’ll pass it over and that’s a sign to the algorithm that this piece of content isn’t pairing when they push it so they don’t share it as much in that hashtag anymore.
I know it’s a little confusing and I’m not the best with my words but this is what I learned through my own trial and error.
So I’ve been working on making sure to use hashtags and making sure they are relative to my audience and what I’m posting and if I stay consistent then I’ll get the results I’m hoping for.
So far using this hashtag strategy has been working really well with my instagram!
I’m at a little over 2k on instagram and I’ve had my account since about 2016-2017 I can’t quite remember but either way consistency and relevancy and hashtags are the key to help get more subscribers to your stories!
